About UsEric Mogensen - Co-FounderEric decided to pursue his beliefs that balance in life is one of the most important things a person can achieve. That the greatest achievements in life are beyond business, such as God and Community. Elements was created to reach this goal and create a company environment that aspires employees to achieve success in life as a whole. Promoting the belief of what counts a great deal in life is what we do for others and apply it to all aspects of our being. Where as, success as a team is to hold all of the members accountable for their expertise. "I believe in being an example of what can be accomplished through action and integrity. That is why Elements was started. To create an environment where everything is done with a passion to succeed. It is a rarity in a company to find employees that choose to come in work early and leave late. The team here simply believes in what we do."
Several passions include Foundation
for Promoting Arts Education (FPAE); A non profit organization which
promotes and provides performing arts funding to local elementary schools here
in Shasta County; Eric currently serves as CFO and sits on the Board of
Directors. Eric's most recent achievement in the FPAE will bring the
Oregon Shakespeare Festival to Redding
schools this Fall. Providing students an incredible chance to learn from some of
the worlds best known performing artists. He also serves on the Board of
Directors and is CFO for the
Cow Creek Watershed
Group; A non profit organization focused on the preservation and restoration
of California's primary headwaters (containing some of the last remaining
spawning grounds of native Chinook salmon). This watershed is well known as a
major fresh water source for the state of California with boundaries in excess
of the state of Delaware. Water quality is a passion for Eric because of his
concerns for future generations. Eric is also active with the
Shriners Children's Hospital and
Awana Christian organization. David Lefson - Co-founderDave first started in the laboratory industry back in 1991. Since then he has worked in a variety of capacities selling, installing and training of analytical equipment including: ICP, ICP-MS, XRF Spectrometers, Microwave Digestion, Ultrasonic Nebulizers, Automated Chemistry Analyzers, Auto and KF Titrators, Soxhlet Extractors, GC, GC-MS, HPLC and more. Dave has also held positions as Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Product Development. Over the years he has had the opportunity to work with many techniques but kept coming back to the ICP arena, his personal favorite. The journey to start Elements was a culmination of experience and a desire to build a company that embodies his philosophy of combining an excellent product with superior service. The motto “We don’t just manufacture standards, we set them” is more than a catchy phrase, it dictates how Elements operates on a day-to-day basis. Elements provides the opportunity to assemble a group of extremely talented individuals who have come together to form what Dave refers to as “the best team I have ever worked with”. Everything done here is with an eye towards better serving the customer and we truly believe everyone works towards that goal everyday. Please feel free to contact Dave or any of our talented staff directly at any time. “We look forward to serving you!” Ry Jensen – Lab DirectorAt Elements, it is a real plus to believe in the ideals and goals put forth in a company. The business environment here is quality and creates a really positive work place. When asked why I chose chemistry as a career, it is clearly an enjoyment of labor in a precise and exact profession. To me, Chemistry is quite interesting and simply how the universe works. Chemistry runs in my family. In fact, my brother is a lab director of a production lab that processes several thousand samples each month. I have over a decade of practical and real work experience in a high production lab. It is very important that our customers know I understand this business from their perspectives. I hope everyone enjoys the Dr Elements and Lab Dude cartoon; a lot of the humor came from personal experiences. As for my personal enjoyments beyond chemistry, let just say I am only 3/5th of a big deal. And as for Pirates and Ninjas, I really don't care for Pirates. |
